The iOSComtradeViewer is a mobile application for analyzing COMTRADE files on iPhone and iPad. It supports protection and control engineers as well as commissioning engineers with the fast evaluation of disturbance records directly on site—intuitively and without the need for a laptop.

Why Mobile?

The iOSComtradeViewer was specifically developed for mobile field use. COMTRADE files can be opened, analyzed and evaluated directly on an iPhone or iPad—whether you are at a substation, an industrial facility or in the office.

The app allows users to import COMTRADE files and visualize recorded data for detailed fault and event analysis. In the waveform view, all analog and binary signals are displayed over time, enabling precise inspection of Analog values and status signals.

For advanced analysis, users can switch to a vector view, where phasors are displayed along the time axis, allowing detailed examination of vector behavior during disturbances and transient events.

The iOSComtradeViewer is optimized for mobile use, providing fast access to disturbance records directly in the field or during commissioning and service work.
