IEC61850Browser for iOS© and iPadOS©
The IEC61850Browser is a mobile IEC 61850 client for iPhone and iPad. It supports protection and control engineers as well as commissioning engineers with the diagnosis, analysis and testing of IEC 61850 systems directly on site—quickly, intuitively and without the need for a laptop.
Why Mobile?
The IEC61850Browser was specifically developed for mobile field use. Instead of carrying an engineering laptop, an iPhone or iPad is all you need to analyze, test and diagnose IEC 61850 systems directly at the point of operation.

- Direct connection via IP address/port or network scan within the local IP range
- Password-protected access (password only / username & password)
- Reading the complete IED data model (logical devices, logical nodes, data objects, attributes)
- Signal monitoring: time-based polling or report-based via Report Control Blocks (RCB) and DataSets
- Automatic recording of signal changes in an event log, exportable as TXT or CSV
- Test Commands: control commands with Direct Operate / Select Before Operate, interlock check, synchrocheck, and feedback evaluation
- CID/IID export: automatically validated SCL files for Edition 1, 2, and 2.1, optionally including live values
- File Transfer: retrieve and download IED files such as COMTRADE, settings, or event data
- Built-in Time Server to test and simulate time synchronization of IEDs
- Support for Wi-Fi and USB-C Ethernet network interfaces
